Tis The Season

This is my first blog post to my online diary. I also have a travel blog at http://www.dottingthemap.com/ which chronicles my travels. This blog will be just about me in general and the things I love and my day to day life.

I love Christmas. I love the spirituality of this holiday and how it brings families and friends closer together. It's funny because this whole month I have been obsessed with turning on the tree, turning off every other light in the house, and making Reid slow dance to Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas with me. Lame and cheesy you might think- but it's been a tradition of ours every year we have been married- and this year I just seem to need that comfort more and more lately.

This Christmas will be spent in Hurricane, UT and we both are very excited to see his entire family including 5 neices and nephews that I am sure are just waiting to smother us with kisses and hugs. We leave Christmas Eve afternoon (hopefully) and will get back Sunday. Although we expect little sleep we are excited to spend the much needed time regrouping with family. I'm excited to spend quality time with my sister-in-laws. They are such great examples to me.

I also must admit I am tired of making cookies. In the past week I have made 15 dozen cookies to share with co-workers, neighbors, visiting teachees, and Reid's co-workers. I'm a girl who loves her cookies but it will be awhile till I bake a batch.
